​How many treatments will be needed?



• We recommend a series of 6 treatments 6 to 8 weeks apart for hair removal. Number of sessions depends on various factors such as your hair thickness, area being treated, and hair growth cycle.

• For skin rejuvenation for sun damage a series of 4-5 treatments every 3-4 weeks apart is effective.

• When Prism is used for isolated pigmented lesions or for vascular lesions/rosacea up to 3 times every 3-4 weeks is recommended.

• For acne treatments one treatment every week for 5-6 weeks is recommended.



What does it feel like?



You may feel a series of short snaps, but no local anesthesia or pain medication is required.






How long will the treatment take?



Treatment times vary based on the area being treated. However, Our laser has one of the largest treatment spot sizes, making treatments convenient and fast. The combination of efficacy, patient comfort and speed makes our system the leader in laser hair removal. Powerful enough to target and treat even the most stubborn hair.




Can you treat all skin types?



Suitable/safe and comfortable for fair to medium skin tones:Fitzgerald skin type I-III. The skin should be free of sunburn, suntan, or self tanner staining for the procedure to be safe and effective.



Is the treatment safe?



Our laser technology effectively destroys the hair without harming the surrounding/adjacent skin. As with all medical procedures there is a slight degree of risk, which will be discussed at your consultation.



What should I expect after the treatment?



Immediately following your treatment, the area may appear a bit red and swollen. Three to seven days after treatment you may experience what seems to be re-growth of hair. Actually, most of these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment, and are not re-growing. Between treatments you should not wax or pluck your hair, but it is permissible to shave.


After skin rejuvenation for sun damage or treatment of pigmented lesions with PRISM IPL. The spots that are being treated will get DARKER within the first several days after treatment. The spots will gradually come to the surface and crumble off like coffee grounds. It is important not to pick at these, but allow them to gently wash off. Moisturizing the skin with SPF lotion and make up are allowed.


Avoiding direct sun exposure for 2 weeks after any PRISM IPL treatment is necessary. Patients should apply a SPF 30+ sunscreen after the procedure.
